Giant Gift For Haverford High Students

The Haverford School Superintendent describes how the district will use a big check.

 

One thousand dollars buys a lot of groceries for most families. Now it will help buy a lot of groceries for students studying Family and Consumer Science at Haverford High School.

The new Giant supermarket in the Quarry Center presented the Haverford School superintendent with a check for $1,000 last week as part of the store's grand opening celebration.

Dr. William Keilbaugh says the money will be used to help purchase materials for the class. Click on the video clips to see why the district picked Family and Consumer Science classes as the beneficiary for the donation.

Giant presented a total of $5,000 in five donations to local and regional charities and organizatiions, including the Llanerch Fire Company.
