Haverford Fire Companies Honor Fallen Brother

Flags flew at half staff Monday outside the Bon Air and Llanerch VOlunteer Fire Companies.

The flags were lowered in tribute to Philadelpia Fire Captain Michael Goodwin.

NBC 10 reports that Goodwin died Saturday while combating a fire in South Philadelphia at the intersection of Fourth and Fitzwater streets.

Goodwin, 53, is the third Philadelphia firefighter to die on the job within the year.

Philadelphia will remember all three in a special noon time ceremony at Philadelphia City Hall.

Goodwin's funeral is scheduled for Thursday morning
