New Math Program Meeting, Film on Bullying This Week in Haverford Township

Read about some of the things happening this week.

Haverford Township's Historical Commission will meet Monday at 7 p.m.

On Tuesday at 7 p.m. the Bureau of Fire will meet at Oakmont Fire Company.

Also on Tuesday Haverford's Parks & Recreation Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. On Thursday the Planning Commission will meet at 7:30p.m. 

You can attend the interactive, informational evening regarding Haverford School District's new math program: Math In Focus: Singapore Math at your school. This hands-on presentation will help all who attend understand our new mathematics program, which is currently being implemented in grades 3-5.  The events will be facilitated by Fred Brown, K-12 Math Coordinator.

Parenting Film Series

October 22nd, 7pm at Haverford Middle School: The second film of the series is Bully which is a 2011 documentary film about bullying in U.S. Schools. Directed by Lee Hirsch, the film follows the lives of five students who face bullying on a daily basis. The film series is free and open to the public although registration is required.
