New Student Events, School Board Meeting in Havertown Thursday

1. The Haverford Township School District's Board of School Directors will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Oakmont School Administration Building.

2. Kindergarten through second grade and new family “Open House” is from 12 to 1:00 p.m. at Chestnutwold Elementary School.

3. There is a new student orientation and Scavenger Hunt for new students grades 1 - 5 at Lynnewood Elementary School at 1 p.m. Thursday.

4. There is a Sneak-a-Peek for new students at Manoa Elementary School at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.

5. Performance Fitness "Build A Backpack!" Campaign through September 7 in Wynnewood and Havertown. Performance Fitness has partnered with the Cradles to Crayons "Ready for School" program and set a goal of building 60 backpacks to ensure the success of children in need.
