in Broomall was the location to be on Wednesday night. From near and far, Mitt Romney fans were geared up to hear the GOP presidential candidate speak at the spiral staircase manufacturing plant on Reed Road and Marpit Drive in Broomall.
Around 4:30 p.m., several supporters and fans started to line up outside. By 5 p.m., a handful of people started to flow through the doors of The Iron Shop's plant. And by 6:15 p.m., a large crowd stood outside on Marpit Drive hoping to get a glimpse of the former Massachusetts governor.
Though it was standing room only, supporters—some from Havertown—tightly squeezed in side-by-side to hear Romney speak. The crowd of approximately 500 people were generally pumped up—clapping with enthusiasm and chanting with excitement—in agreement with Romney's campaign for presidency, "More Jobs, Less Debt, Smaller Government."
