Section of Old Lancaster Road Closed for Gas Main Installation

Lower Merion Township officials advises motorists that a section of Old Lancaster Road will be closed starting Friday and continuing next week.

According to the alert posted on the township’s Facebook page, the road will be restricted between Booth Lane and Barrett Avenue beginning April 10 and again from April 13 to April 16, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Emergency vehicles, residents and buses will be granted access when possible.

Crews will be working on the installation of a new gas main in the ground. When it is complete, services will be connected to adjacent properties, according to the township.
