Havertown's Big Name Behind the Big Names

If you're not looking for it, you could drive right past the unassuming storefront on Eagle Road that is home to Carl's Cards and Collectibles.

You may not have noticed it in your daily travels, but most of the biggest living legends of Philadelphia sports and thousands of fans over 17 years have made the family-owned business the reason they come to Havertown.

Carl Henderson, his wife Sue, and daughter Lauren have welcomed Philly sports superheroes from Bernie Parent (the store's first celebrity guest autograph signer) to Greg "The Bull" Luzinski who made his second appearance at the store on April 27.

What does it take to get the biggest names in Philadelphia professional sports to make the trip to Havertown to meet and greet fans? Money, yes but there's more to it than that.

Patch caught up with Henderson at his shop just after Greg Luzinski's meet and greet with fans.
