Trail Run In Havertown To Support Panceatic Cancer Research

The Sunset Trail Run will be held Wednesday evening at the Haverford Community Recreation & Environmental Center.

HAVERTOWN, PA — The Haverford Township Parks and Recreation department is inviting community members to join the fight against pancreatic cancer Wednesday at a charity run/walk/hike event.

The Sunset Trail Run will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Haverford Community Recreation & Environmental Center.

The event will honor the memory of Anne Camoratto, who dedicated her life to science, research, and medicine and will raise funds to support research for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

"This cause hits close to home — in addition to Anne, we’re running for our dear Parks & Rec family member currently fighting this disease, and in honor of our department’s connection to Gerry Hart and his family," organizers said.

Registration is $40 ahead of the event and $45 the day of.

All proceeds go to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Participants can choose to sign up for a 3-mile trail run, 3-mile trail walk, or a 1-mile walk/hike.

The Haverford Community Recreation & Environmental Center is located at 9000 Parkview Drive.
