Borough Pool's Opening Date Announced

The will open for the 2012 summer season on Saturday, June 16, according to information posted on the Borough of Hellertown's website.

The popular public pool will be open daily (weather permitting) from noon to 7pm through Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012.

Daily rates are as follows:

Youth (under age 3): Free

Youth (3-17): $4

Adult: $5

Evening rates (for admittance after 4pm) are as follows:

Youth (under age 3): Free

Youth (3-17): $3

Adult: $4

Additional information about 2012 rates and season passes is available on the borough website. Season resident rates are the same for residents of both Hellertown and Lower Saucon Township. Season rates are higher for non-residents.

A highlight of the start of the 2012 swimming season is expected to be the opening of .

The splash pad--which --will feature jets that will squirt water. The play area has been designed especially for young children and their parents.

The Hellertown Community Pool is also known for hosting special events throughout the summer, such as the which features music provided by a DJ.
