Information Meeting Planned for District's iPad Initiative
The meeting for parents of rising seventh-graders will be held Monday, June 4 from 7 to 8pm in the Saucon Valley Middle School cafeteria.

An information meeting about the is planned for the parents of rising seventh-graders, the district announced this week.
The iPad intiative--which will be rolled out in phases--will ultimately provide all Saucon Valley secondary students with the state-of-the-art devices.
In 2012-2013, the first year of the initiative, seventh-graders will be the only students provided with the iPads.

"The purpose of the Saucon Valley technology initiative (1 to 1 plan) is to increase the access to learning resources for students, and to leverage technology in ways that fundamentally changes teaching and learning," the district explained in its flyer about the meeting.
The information meeting will be held in the cafeteria on Monday, June 4 from 7 to 8pm, and rising seventh-graders are invited to accompany their parents.

Topics on the agenda for the meeting include an introduction and explanation of the initiative, a review of the acceptable use policy for students, a demonstration of the iPad's educational uses, a discussion about , and a question-and-answer session.
