Movie in the Park, Ice Cream Festival, Duck Derby: The Week Ahead
As the month of July winds down, there are plenty of fun activities to look forward to in the Saucon Valley.

Thursday, Aug. 1
10 a.m. to 2 p.m., State Rep. Bob Freeman (D-136) holds his monthly office hours for constituents at the Borough of Hellertown, 685 Main St., Hellertown.
Friday, Aug. 2
Shortly after dusk, see a free family-friendly movie in Hellertown's Dimmick Park. Friday's film screening will be of "Escape from Planet Earth" (2013). Refreshments will be available. Bring your own blankets or lawn chairs for seating. Sponsored by the Saucon Valley Business & Friends Association. The Movies in the Park series continues throughout August. Saturday, Aug. 3
4 to 9 p.m., Ice Cream Festival, St. Luke's Old Williams Church, Easton Road and Church Road, Williams Township (Hellertown). Enjoy live music, games for kids, a cake walk, a meat wheel, bingo, food and LOTS OF ICE CREAM. Free admission.
Sunday, Aug. 4
9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Relay for Life of Saucon Valley's annual Duck Derby at the Saucon Valley Farmers' Market, Water Street Park, Hellertown. Watch as hundreds of yellow rubber ducks compete in a race along the Saucon Creek. Purchase duck sponsorships from the Relay for Life booth at the market. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the race. Proceeds benefit Relay for Life of Saucon Valley, which raises money on behalf of the American Cancer Society.
