Police: Honolulu Man Sexually Abused Child for 5 Years

A current resident of Honolulu, Hawaii has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a Hellertown child from 2005 to 2010, borough police announced Monday.

According to a police department press release, Jeffrey C. Clifton, 40, of the 4100 block of Halupa Street, Honolulu, has been charged with multiple counts of attempted aggravated indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault of a child less than 13, unlawful restraint, corruption of minors and indecent exposure.

Police said they began investigating Clifton after they received allegations of child sexual abuse on Jan. 25 of this year.
