Saylor's Anniversary Celebration, Coopersburg Community Day
Highlights of the weekend in the Saucon Valley area will include an open house at Saylor's & Co. in Hellertown and the 22nd annual Coopersburg Community Day in Southern Lehigh Living Memorial Park.
The high temperature Saturday is forecast to be a delightful 77 degrees, so many residents of the Saucon Valley will likely want to get out and enjoy what could be one of the last mild weekends before cooler weather settles in.
Two events you may want to consider attending are an open house in celebration of Saylor's & Co.'s seventh anniversary on Main Street in Hellertown, and the 22nd annual Coopersburg Community Day in Southern Lehigh Living Memorial Park, along Rt. 309 in the borough of Coopersburg.
Saylor's & Co. is a well-known butcher shop and specialty food store.
The open house at Saylor's, 1105 Main St., will begin at 10 a.m. and will feature live music, a pig roast, specials, cooking demonstrations and raffles.
Coopersburg Community Day will also kick off at 10 a.m., and will continue in the park until 5 p.m.
Highlights of the day will include hot air balloon rides, music, crafts, children's activities, food, live performances and special appearances.
On Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., weekend fun will continue at the Saucon Valley Farmers' Market in Hellertown, which is held weekly (May through November) in Water Street Park.
This Sunday the market will host its monthly "Art in the Park" crafter event, featuring sellers of handmade goods from throughout the area. Live music will be performed by Dave Fry's Family Folks, and a wide variety of local produce and homemade food items will be available from the market's regular vendors.
