The Lansdale Business Association Makes its Move on Main Street

A chatty and enthusiastic group of Lansdale Business Association members and guests gathered Tuesday evening to mark the opening of its new Main Street office in an annex of the Chantilly Floral Boutique at West Main and Walnut streets.

Chong’s Dumpling House and Nadia’s Thai-French Cuisine provided delectable edible treats, and McQuillin Studio encouraged guests to stroll up Main Street and guess the weight of the pumpkin on display in its studio window. 

Margie Booz and Barbara Thompson of Chantilly were on hand to guide guests toward items of interest in their well-appointed fashion and accessories area of the store.

LBA Executive Committee members Doug DiPasquale (Minuteman Press), Art Hanebury (Allstate), Steve Jones (Milestones in Music) and Ellen W. Foulke (Lansdale Business Center) showed off the cases full of Member Media presentations, the entral greeting space, and the numerous historic pictures of Lansdale’s business and shopping districts. 

“This is a truly happy marriage of great space, function and permanence for the LBA”, said Foulke. 

“In the past, we took turns 'hosting' the media supplies, tables, the computer, paper products and the like. We were moving with some regularity, based upon availability and some degree of practicality," said DiPasquale. "Now, we have found a really central location that is, we hope, convenient to the membership, familiar, and makes people feel welcome to stop in and see what businesses are doing in town." 

A dedicated Main Street presence just feels right for the Business Association.  Members and many Main Street businesses hope this move will translate into a more inclusive and participatory experience for businesses new to Lansdale.
