AT&T Cell Tower OK'd for Upper State and Bethlehem Pike
Montgomery Township Supervisors Monday night approved a conditional use application for the 130-foot cell tower that would boost the 4G network.
A 130-foot tall AT&T cell phone tower has been approved for construction in a wooded area near Upper State Road and Bethlehem Pike in Montgomery Township.
Supervisors approved the conditional use application Monday, according to The Reporter.
Attorney Christopher Schubert, representing AT&T, said there is a problem with capacity in that area, and the tower will boost the 4G network for AT&T.

According to The Reporter, the tower would provide “faster wireless service” and fill in weak spots due to failing cell equipment at a site near Route 309 and Stump Road.
