Lansdale Police Say Someone Falsely Called In Report Of An Armed Subject
The caller falsely stated that someone was armed and intended to kill his family.

LANSDALE, PA — A caller made a false 911 report in the borough, saying that an armed subject had intended to kill his family, but the claim was untrue, according to the Lansdale Police Department.
Police said that on Monday around 6:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Lansdale Avenue for a report of an armed subject.
A 911 caller had reported that the individual intended to kill his family, but the claim was unfounded, police said.

A Lansdale police report said that the on-scene investigation was resolved peacefully and that it was discovered that the call was made under false pretenses.
Lansdale Police reminded people that making false reports of crimes to emergency services personnel is a criminal offense and punishable by arrest, however, they did not say whether or not anyone was arrested in connection with this incident.

The false report is currently under investigation by Lansdale detectives.
