Candlelight Vigil at Memorial Park Thursday for Penndale's Kee
Breanna Hitchens, of Colmar, has organized the event, taking place at 7 p.m. at Memorial Park in Lansdale, to recognize and celebrate the life of Dennis Kee, 15, who was killed when he was hit by a car on Route 309 last Friday night.

A candlelight vigil in recognition of the life of former Penndale student Dennis "Denny" Kee, 15, will take place Thursday at 7 p.m. at Lansdale's Memorial Park.
Kee was hit by a car as he crossed Route 309 in Hatfield Township late Friday night. He was pronounced dead early Saturday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.
Lansdale Borough Parks and Recreation were informed of the request for the vigil at Wednesday night's committee meeting.

Lansdale Parks and Recreation Director Carl Saldutti said the request was made by Colmar resident Breanna Hitchens.
"There is a gathering in Memorial Park tomorrow evening in recognition of this young man's passing," he said. "We have done this in the past when requests come in. We can't control the timeliness."

A community group on Facebook named "R.I.P. Dennis Kee"—complete with numerous messages to and comments about Kee—has 1,376 Likes as of early Thursday morning. You can view the group here.
Kee's funeral service is set for Friday at Sekula Funeral Home in Philadelphia from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
