Family: Missing Upper Gwynedd Man Took Own Life

Joshua Hutchinson, 26, of Swedesford Road, was last seen May 9 and reported missing May 27. He was found dead at the Gwynedd Wildlife Preserve.

While the public awaits results of the Montgomery County coroner's investigation into the official cause of death of an Upper Gwynedd Township man missing since May 9, Joshua Hutchinson's family has informed the public via Facebook that the 26 year old took his own life.

According to a post on "Help Us Find Joshua Hutchinson," family regretted to inform the public that Hutchinson committed suicide at the Gwynedd Wildlife Reserve on Swedesford Road, about five blocks from his home:

With deepest regret, Josh was found at Gwynedd Wildlife Reserve approximately 4 pm, having taken his life. We'd like to express our thanks to all those who have supported us in this search and especially to those who have loved him over the years. No words can describe our pain. Thank you all again for your words of kindness and steadfast prayer. Josh will surely be missed. We will post the time and date of his memorial service when we have the details. Much love and blessing to you all.

After a search of woods near his home was unsuccessful in locating Hutchinson, .

Hutchinson was a 2005 graduate of North Penn High School and worked in the Ambler area.

Upper Gwynedd Township Police released a statement Sunday that no official cause of death has been determined.
