Five Things: First Aid Meet, Fresh Food Drive and More

The General Nash District Boy Scouts of America, featuring more than 200 Scouts from North Penn and Souderton Area, competes in its annual First Aid Meet from 9 a.m. to noon at Indian Valley Middle School on Maple Avenue in Franconia Township.

2. The Nutrition Coalition holds a Fresh Food Drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., where its volunteers will collect fresh fruits and vegetables at Shop Rite in Hatfield Pointe Shopping Center, 170 Forty Foot Road in Hatfield Township. Shoppers are encouraged to donate onions, carrots, potatoes, bell peppers, apples, oranges, bananas and grapes.

  • Lansdale Catholic Dance Academy presents its 21st annual Dance Showcase “Colors in Motion” at 7 p.m.
  • A cast of more than 150 Mater Dei Catholic School students will present “Peter Pan” tonight at 7 in the gymnasium.
  • Pennbrook Middle School Theatre presents “If the Slipper Fits,” a modernization of “Cinderella” at 7:30 p.m.

4. There’s a consignment sale/Mommy Market today at North Wales Elementary School, School Street in North Wales Borough.

5. Pearl S. Buck International in Hilltown Township hosts its first Girl Scout Day for Brownie-level troops from noon to 3 p.m. in the Cultural Center at 520 Dublin Road. Participants will earn the “Her Story” Try-It badge and learn about Buck through activities.
