"I volunteer as tribute!" — Lansdale Library shows "The Hunger Games" (PG-13, 142 min.) at 6:30 p.m. as part of its free Friday Night Movies

1. Lansdale 13-year-old Hannah Gardner started Hannah’s Hope Jar two years ago, a foundation to help children with cancer. Tonight, she hosts a movie night at 6 at 648 Vermont Ave., complete with inflatables, raffles, games, face painting, food, a 21-plus drink section, and more. A $3 donation is requested toward the cause. Hannah’s Hope Jar is a fund to help other organizations, but Gardner hopes to make it a nonprofit when she is older. About $1,200 has been raised so far. Please bring your own chairs.

2. “I volunteer as tribute!” — shows “The Hunger Games” (PG-13, 142 min.) at 6:30 p.m. as part of its free Friday Night Movies.

3. It’s back — make your own survival strap at 4 p.m. at Lansdale Library. A survival strap is a wristband made with colorful parachute cords. Cost is $3 for supplies.
