HATFIELD, PA — A Hatfield Township man who was allegedly drunk when he entered a home that didn't belong to him is facing felony criminal trespass and public drunkenness charges, according to court records and media reports.

Thomas Andrew Kelly, 33, of the 1900 block of Foster Road in Hatfield, is facing a third-degree felony criminal trespass charge along with a public drunkenness charge after police say he entered a local home that was occupied by two sisters and acted strangely.

The website North Penn Now is reporting that officers were dispatched Tuesday evening just after 8:30 to a home on Orvilla Road where a caller said a man had entered the home but didn't belong there.

A preliminary hearing had originally been scheduled for Oct. 26 but the criminal docket sheet in the case shows that the hearing has been continued to Nov. 30 before Magisterial District Judge Andrea Hudak Duffy.

The North Penn Now report says that at the time of his arrest, Kelly registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.20 percent after police administered a breath test.

Kelly has a pretty extensive arrest record dating back to around 2012. Court documents show that he has been arrested throughout the years by police officers in Hatfield, Lansdale, Upper Gwynedd, Towamencin and Montgomery Township.

Charges have ranged from driving under the influence, drug possession and theft to harassment and simple assault.

The record shows that Kelly had previously pleaded guilty to some of those charges and had spent some time in prison and on probation.
