Incumbent Democrat Fuller Wins Lansdale Ward One Primary
Friends of Lansdale-endorsed Jeff Howard received the second-most votes in the Democratic Primary. There are two open seats in the ward, heading to November.

The woman who brought fireworks to Lansdale heads to November on the Democratic ticket, along with Friends of Lansdale PAC-endorsed Jeff Howard, following the Tuesday Primary for Lansdale Borough Council.
Fuller and Howard will face Republican challengers Michele Coyle and Jean Fritz, and Independent Jason Van Dame, for the two seats in Ward One in November.
According to unofficial Montgomery County Election results, Fuller received 103 votes, or 37.8 percent, of all three precincts in Ward One in Lansdale. Howard received 101 votes, or 37 percent, and third Democratic challenger Joe Wolf received 68 votes.

"I can let my breath out now," Fuller said late Tuesday night. "I feel proud of the Lansdale voters in my ward. I'm glad they came out to support me. To let me finish on top, not just second, I think that shows, despite some heavy campaign dollars, I had enough experience and name recognition. People understand truly about what's right for the community and my hometown."
Fuller said she was awfully disappointed that Dan Dunigan lost in his Ward Three Republican Primary.

"We worked together with bipartisanship and we did quite well with that," she said. "I thought that was the direction people wanted. I didn't think Lansdale wanted party politics."
Fuller said Dunigan led Lansdale Borough through a bleak financial time.
"We wouldn’t be where we are without Dan's financial expertise," she said.
Fuller was also disappointed that her Lansdale First PAC running mates Rich Strahm and Bob Willi did not win in the Ward Three Democratic race.
"I thought they were strong candidates and either one would have served well," she said. "And Sobel—he's my council buddy too."
Sobel, who lost in the Ward Two Republican Primary, said it was great that Fuller won in the Primary.
"Mary's just a wonderful person that works very, very hard for Lansdale," he said. "I hope she wins in November and we can still have her sitting up there."
Howard was unavailable for comment Tuesday night.
