Crossing Guards Are Still Being Sought By The Lansdale Police Department

The Lansdale Police Department still has openings for crossing guards in the community.

LANSDALE, PA — The Lansdale Police Department is still looking to hire crossing guards for the community.

Applications are still being accepted from those who are interested in working in a part-time crossing guard capacity. Crossing guards help control pedestrian crossings at traffic intersections, assist at schools and at special event sites, and monitor traffic flow to determine safe gaps in which to allow pedestrians to cross, according to the job description on the borough's website.

Those working as crossing guards in Lansdale are supervised by the sergeant overseeing the Community Service Unit of the police department.

Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
