Two Wanted in Armed Robbery of Montgomery Dollar Tree Employees

Montgomery Township Police are seeking a white male who robbed employees of the Dollar Tree in Montgomery Commons Shopping Center Monday night. Police said the robbery was similar to one in New Britain in February.

Montgomery Township Police are seeking two suspects involved in the Monday night armed robbery of employees at Dollar Tree in Montgomery Commons Shopping Center.

Police said the robbery is similar to an armed robbery that occurred Feb. 28, 2013 at 10 p.m. at the Subway in New Britain Township, and another robbery that occurred in Bristol Township.

Police said at 10:15 p.m. Monday, officers responded to a reported of an armed robbery at the store at 1200 Welsh Road.

A white male confronted employees at the back door of the store and forced his way inside, police said.

He was armed with a dark-colored handgun, police said.

Once inside, he demanded money from employees, police said.

After getting an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled the store into the rear lot, where he met up with a second male, police said.

The two suspects then ran toward North Wales Road, police said.

The first suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and a medium build, police said. He was wearing a black facial covering, a black hooded sweatshirt or jacket with the hood pulled up, and black cargo pants, police said.

The second suspect was dressed in all black clothing, police said.
