How do you know the teacher?

I visited her classroom numerous times to read stories. The Harleysville Rotary set up a schedule to read in EMC elementry school. Nora Paar was the Rotary's connection for the program.

What does this person teach?

Special Needs students first through third grade.

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Nora Paar has taught special needs students for over 20 years. It is a very demanding career. She has been successful in getting some students back into regular classrooms. Moreover, many have graduated and several have gone to college. Her style, dedication and perseverance has changed the direction of numerous young lives.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

The very young children know that she loves them. They accept discipline and guidance from her because she demonstrates love and compassion every day. Her patience with her students and guidance for parents reaps numerous rewards.
