A Muslim Man Was Attacked In Lansdale Borough In Late October

Police in Lansdale Borough are investigating an attack on a Muslim man that occurred Oct. 24. It may have been ethnically motivated.

LANSDALE, PA — Police in the borough are investigating an attack on a Muslim man late last month.

The man, who was walking along the 300 block of West Fifth Street on Oct. 24 around 8:30 p.m., was suddenly approached by another man who had come from across the street and began a verbal argument with the victim before striking him the face and then fleeing, according to a report in North Penn Now.

Detectives told the publication that police are looking into whether or not the man may have been attacked because of his ethnicity or religion.

Sgt. Adrienne Gori, of the Lansdale Police Department's Investigative Division, confirmed the details of the North Penn Now report to Patch, but said that police are not releasing any other details about the case to the media at this time as the matter is still under investigation.
