North Penn Baseball Heads to State Title Bout Friday

The formerly 12th-seeded North Penn Knights will now face Lower Dauphin Friday in the state championship PIAA 4A bout, after beating the Pennridge Rams 3-0 in the semifinals this week.

Talk about being the underdog.

The North Penn Knights baseball team climbed up the PIAA ladder from the 12th seed and secured a bout in the state championship game June 14 at Penn State.

According to Montgomery News, the Knights beat Pennridge Rams 3-0 in the PIAA 4A semifinals this week, powered by the arm of Brian Maher and the legs of Eddie Posavec. Maher had a four-hit shutout in the two-hour game at Spring-Ford High School.
