North Wales Council OKs $1,000 Purchase of Historic Photos

North Wales Borough Council last month approved the purchase of about 100 historic photos from Lower Salford historian John Ruth, according to The Reporter.
The photos would be displayed at borough hall and at a North Wales Historic Commission September fundraiser at Bauhaus Banquet Hall at Walnut and Main streets, according to the report.

The initial idea was for council to provide $500 to the commission to buy any and all photos of the borough owned by Ruth, but then Councilman John Cotton proffered $1,000, with any balance being returned to the borough.
