Preston & Steve, The Fanatic Step Up for NP PAL Fundraiser

The North Penn Police Activities League is planning an April 27 fundraiser to support a 13-year-old Lansdale boy battling leukemia

The Preston & Steve Sow of 93.3 WMMR in Philadelphia have stepped up to show its support for an April 27 fundraiser at Penndale Middle School organized by the North Penn Police Activities League.

The North Penn PAL is in the midst of planning a fundraiser for Lansdale teen Matthew Knoebel, who is at present battling acute myeloid leukemia. Knoebel recently finished another exhaustive round of chemotherapy at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and he awaits a bone marrow transplant next month.

Towamencin Township Police Officer Patrick Horne, a member of the North Penn PAL executive board and police liaison, said he had reached out to Kathy Romano of the Preston & Steve Show. The North Penn PAL will be advertising on the WMMR website.

Horne said the show has given back by offering a studio tour to be auctioned off at the April 27 event.

Furthermore, Jon Marks, of Philadelphia radio station 97.5 FM The Fanatic, has offered a one-hour sit-in on the show for the auction. 

"Everything is looking promising," Horne said of the planning.
