Sexually-Active 15-Year-Old Girls Can Now Get Morning-After Pill

The over-the-counter Plan B One-Step is manufactured by Teva Women's Health in Montgomery Township.

Girls as young as 15 can now get the morning-after pill, also known as the emergency contraceptive Plan B One-Step, without a prescription, following a recent approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, according to The Miami Herald.

The over-the-counter Plan B One-Step is made by Teva Women’s Health of Montgomery Township.

Recommended use is right after or within three days after unprotected sex, according to the FDA.

Buyers must show proof of age upon purchase, according to The Miami Herald. The prior minimum purchase age was 17.
