Sobel Could Be Back In With a Primary Win
With no Democratic challengers, incumbent Republican Mike Sobel and Lansdale Parking Authority member Tom Work are contending for the one open seat in Ward Two.

He's led the 311 W. Main St. Task Force, he oversees the public safety committee and he's running for re-election.
With the Friends of Lansdale-endorsed Kathleen Becker dropping out of the race in Lansdale's Ward Two, incumbent Republican Mike Sobel was a shoe-in to win a second term on Lansdale Borough Council.
Step in Republican contender Tom Work, a member of the Lansdale Parking Authority.

By successfully winning the Republican nomination in the Primary, the victor will automatically have his name appear on the November Ballot. With no Democratic challenger, and barring no independent party challengers or successful write-in candidates, the victor will be the new councilman.
Remember: Registered Independents and other political parties cannot vote on Tuesday.
Republicans and Democrats who lose the Primary cannot run as an independent in the general election, per the sore-loser law.
