Souderton District Court Closing in 2015
Due to the mandatory retirement of District Judge Kenneth Deatelhauser, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has redistricted cases handled by the court to Lansdale and Skippack district courts.

With the mandatory retirement of District Judge Kenneth Deatelhauser at age 70 in 2014, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has approved the closing of Souderton District Court on Jan. 1, 2015, per The Reporter.
Furthermore, the state Supreme Court will be redistricting Montgomery County court districts, according to the article.
Souderton District Court hears court cases for criminal, traffic and non-traffic complaints in Hatfield Borough, Souderton Borough, Telford Borough, Franconia Township, and Hatfield Township Voting Wards 2, 3 and 4.

On Jan. 1, 2015, according to the Supreme Court order, District Judge Harold Borek in Lansdale will handle cases in Hatfield Borough, Lansdale Borough, Towamencin Township and Hatfield Township Voting Wards 2, 3 and 4.
Skippack District Court, overseen by Judge Albert Augustine, would hear cases for Souderton Borough, Telford Borough, Franconia Township, Schwenksville Borough, Lower Salford Township, Perkiomen Township, Skippack Township and Worcester Township, per the Supreme Court order.
