Nor-Gwyn and Fanny Chapman swim teams came together to raise funds for the Breathing Room Foundation for breast cancer research and family support.
Nor-Gwyn and Fanny Chapman swim teams met for the same cause—fighting breast cancer.
"Swim For the Girls" on July 23 raised more than $2,100 for The Breathing Room, a local organization that aids families fighting cancer.
The breast cancer charity fundraising swim meet was created and organized by the children of two families: Nor-Gwyn Swim Team's Will, Luke, and Cortney Neverosky, aged 11, 10 and 7, and Luke, 10, and Lance Engel, 8.
Swimmers sought pledges prior to the event and donations were taken during the meet.
The event wasn't without humor—boys wore girls' suits for each race. Girls were able to take part by donating a swimsuit for a boy to wear at the meet.
