'Tide Turning' for Lansdale After Marketing Event
Economic Development Committee Chairwoman Mary Fuller updated her committee and the Communication Commission last week on the recent branding success at a community marketing event.

Lansdale was the talk of the towns at an April 5 Delaware Valley Smart Growth Alliance Development Committee Chairwoman Mary Fuller at last week's joint EDC and Communication Commission meeting.
"Investing in the Delaware Valley's Downtown" also fulfilled Lansdale Borough in another way—it was one of the many tenets outlined in the borough's branding initiative.
Fuller said the event attracted at lot of developers, architects and engineers in other municipalities.

"We made a lot of good contacts," said Fuller.
Community Development Director John Ernst was quick to point out that another major benefit of the event was "how obvious it was that whatever we are doing, we are doing it right."

"We couldn't say enough about how busy we were," Ernst said. "Other municipalities highlighted one, two things. We had a board of a half dozen projects we are pursuing."
Ernst added there was a "nice steady stream of active users."
Fuller said other municipalities were asking Lansdale for advice.
"The tide is turning a bit and municipalities are starting to look to us," Fuller said. "We were very happy. When the branding report came out, one part of that was to attend trade shows and exhibits. We had a successful outing with that."
