3 Resignations Approved in East Penn Schools

East Penn School Board approves several retirements, resignations and status changes.

The East Penn School Board approved several personnel changes at its meeting Monday night.

There were three resignations:

-- Sandra Frederick, administrative assistant at Willow Lane Elementary, effective July 1.

-- Jennifer Scott, instructional assistant at Emmaus High School, effective Jan. 29

-- Dawn Kohler, staff assistant at Wescosville Elementary, effective Feb. 12.

There were two appointments:

-- Heather Spotts to English teacher at Emmaus High School at a salary of $45,831, to fill a vacancy left by the resignation of J. Landgraf.

-- Jennifer Halcisak to a staff assistant at Lincoln Elementary at a rate of $13.38 an hour for 12.5 hours per week.

There were four custodians appointed:

-- Shawn Greene to Eyer Middle School, second shift at $18.94 an hour for 40 hours per week.

-- Brett Jones to Emmaus High School, second shift at $18.94 an hour for 40 hours per week.

-- Scott Lewis to Eyer Middle School, second shift at $18.94 an hour for 40 hours per week.

-- Andrew Marsteller to Willow Lane Elementary at $18.94 an hour for 20 hours per week.

There were five changes to the Food Service Department:

-- Tami McGrath to FSA Coordinator from FSA Leader at Shoemaker Elementary.

-- Vicki Rothbort to full-time from part-time at Emmaus High School due to a vacancy.

-- Donna George to Shoemaker Elementary from Lower Macungie Middle School due to the transfer of T. McGrath.

-- Deb Koch to LMMS Leader 7.5 hours/day from 5.5 hours/day due to the transer of D. George

-- Renee Tigar to part-time at Emmaus High School from part-time at Shoemaker Elementary due to the transfer of V. Rothbort.

Also, Shelley Christman Scharer was reassigned as an instructional assistant at Wescosville Elementary for 29 hours/week, up from 17 hours/week.
