Tonight's focus at Macungie Council will be the re-opened 2012 budget.
The budget that passed at the end of 2011 called for a tax , but at the Jan. 3 council meeting, Borough Manager Chris Boehm suggested a budget that would raise taxes by 2 mils and would "restore the quality of likfe to the borough."
By law, a budget that has been re-opened and re-configured must be displayed for the public for 10 business days and passed by Feb. 15.
