Five Things to Know Today: April 1

1. Weather: This stuff is no joke, even though everything else today may be. The National Weather Service forecast for our area says we'll get less snow than originally thought. That's nice. But it's April. Anybody remember April snows of years past?

2. A Worthy Cause: Tomorrow is the Ryan's Tree Ride for Kids which follows the inaugural "Let Me Go" Charity Bike Ride. All proceeds benefit Ryan's Tree for Grieving Children, a peer support group of St. Luke's Hospice. It helps kids aged 5-18 who are grieving the loss of a family member or friend.

3. Biz Bites: can get any kind of produce you request provided you ask by 1 p.m. on a Tuesday. Ordinarily they carry fresh hot peppers, cilantro, yams, fresh avocados, collard greens, a variety of mushrooms and more.
