1. Weather: Plan for more rain today. The National Weather Service forecast for our area says we'll see showers this morning, a 50 percent chance of thundershowers after 1 p.m. and a high near 78 degrees.

3. A Sincere Request: As we approach the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2011, we're looking for people whose by or on that day. We want to hear from people who were there, of course. But many of us who were not there were changed, too. Perhaps you changed political parties, enlisted, watched your son or daughter enlist, joined a volunteer fire company, wore a safety pin full of dangly flag beads. Prayed more. 5. Today in History: On August 16, 1948, baseball legend George Herman "Babe" Ruth died from cancer at age 53 in New York City. For two days, his body lay in state at the main entrance to Yankee Stadium, and tens of thousands of people stood in line to pay their last respects before he was buried in Hawthorne, New York.
