1. Weather: Another nice day! The National Weather Service forecast for our area says it will be sunny with a high temp near 49 degrees.
2. In Case You Missed It: Meet this week's Hero Next Door, Alburtis Fire Captain Robert George.
3. Last Chance: Tonight is the final Macungie Borough Budget Workshop. Members of council and other borough officials will meet at 7 p.m. at the Macungie Institute to discuss how to balance the 2012 budget, There is a possibility taxes will go up substantially. There is a chance that services will be cut throughout the borough and there is a chance that borough workers could be laid off. The public is welcome to attend to listen, learn and comment. A preliminary budget will be presented at the Dec. 5 council meeting.

Today in History: On this day in 1955, in Montgomery, Alabama, Rosa Parks was jailed for refusing to give up her seat on a public bus to a white man, a violation of the city's racial segregation laws. The successful Montgomery Bus Boycott, organized by a young Baptist minister named Martin Luther King Jr., followed Park's historic act of civil disobedience.
