For your weekend we have a variety of festivals: one historic, one for roasting corn and one that celebrates tomatoes. Add an Island Party and all that jazz, and you have no reason to be bored this weekend!
1. 50th Annual Summer Festival
When/Where: 5-10:30 p.m. through Aug. 20 at

Why Go: The festival is a way to raise funds that will help save, change and improve the lives of the patients at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg. It includes the Nite Lites Gala and a golf and tennis classic in addition to the festival.

When/Where: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Easton Farmer's Market in Centre Square.
Why Go: Take in the Heirloom Display, the Market Chef Demo, Top Tomato Sauce Challenge, Tomato Mini-Golf and more.
Pricing: Depends on how much you love tomatoes!
3. Island Party
When/Where: 4 p.m. to midnight Aug. 19 in the SkyLounge at Cosmopolitan.
Why Go: Because there will be steel drums followed by Mama Jama, all under the stars.
Pricing: Tickets are $10.
When/Where: 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 20-21 at the Musuem of Indian Culture.
Why Go: The 31st annual event is the oldest American Indian Festival in Pennsylvania. Look to this celebration for tomahawk throwing, fire dancers, indigenous craft demonstrations and design and more.
Pricing: Adults, $6; Seniors, $4, Children 8-17, $4, Children 7 and under, free.
5. Jazz Cabaret David Leonhardt Trio
When/Where: 7:30 p.m. Aug. 19 at Allentown Symphony Hall.
Why Go: They've ben called "a trio that plays a strong blend of Cadillac swing, full of long lines and swirling licks that give pleasure without pain.”
Pricing: Tickets are $20.
