Get Out: Five Things to Do This Weekend
We've assembled a collection of family- and adult-friendly activities and new places to try out.

It's Snowblast weekend! Or, if you prefer, you can just swing the weekend away between dance lessons and a great big place to dance the night away. And if you're female, you can play paintball for free this weekend. You don't see that every day.
When/Where: 7 p.m. Feb. 3 in the cafeteria.

Why Go: Because in addition to listening to the great music provided by the Esquires Jazz band, you also get swing dance lessons from Lillian Freeman!
Pricing: Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door.

When/Where: Opening ceremonies and ice sculpture demonstration begin at 5 p.m. Feb. 3 in . The festival continues through Feb. 5.
Why Go: Because this annual celebration of winter includes an art show, music, good food and the SnowBlast Ice Princess! And if you venture out Sunday morning, you just might meet up with some Patch editors!

3. Story Time
When/Where: 2-3 p.m. Feb. 5 at in Bethlehem.
Why Go: Because Eva Grayzel will be telling stories to children of all ages, and Cops 'n' Kids is giving out free books at this event sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Storytelling Guild.
Pricing: Tickets: $4.50; Children 5 and under, free.
When/Where: 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 4 at Skirmish Paintball in Jim Thorpe.
Why Go: Because after all week of dealing with kids, jobs, bosses, traffic and all the other slings and arrows of daily life, it's nice to let loose a little, right?
Pricing: Ladies don't pay today!

When/Where: 7 p.m. Feb. 4 at the Agri-Plex at the Allentown Fairgrounds (formerly Agricultural Hall).
Why Go: Because it's a fundraiser for the work the Rotary Club does and because maybe you just had swing dancing lessons at Emmaus High School the night before!
