2. The 104th Annual Bach Festival
When/Where: Events begin at 2 p.m. May 13 and 10:30 a.m. May 14 at
Why Go: It's a series of concerts and get togethers that promotes and encourages appreciation the works of the works of Johann Sebastian Bach.
Pricing: Some events are free, others require tickets. Check website for details.
3. Emmaus Preservation Tours Weekend
When/Where: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 14 tour Emmaus historic properties including the , Shelter House, Knauss Homestead, Emmaus Historical Society and Emmaus Moravian Church, then beginning at 9:30 a.m. May 15 join the Downtown Walking Architectural Tour which meets at the and continues to the God’s Acre Cemetery Tour and the Wunnerfitz Tour of 23 Emmaus Properties.
Why Go: Haven't you always wondered what's in some of those buildings?
Pricing: The self-guided tour is easier with Passport Guides for $5 that can be purchased at David’s Electric, Out Of Our Hands Gallery, Wentz Hardware, Emmaus Public Library and Lower Macungie Library.
When/Where: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 14 at the Historical Society's 1892 Building, Normal and Whiteoak streets, Kutztown.
Why go: The festival caps off Arts Festival Week when the Kutztown Community Partnership holds its one-day festival of visual and performing arts that also includes crafts, food vendors, children’s activities, strolling entertainers, and artisans selling one-of-a-kind wares.
Pricing: Depends on how long you stay and what you find that you can't live without!
5. Bear Creek Mountain Spring Wine Festival
When/Where: 1-5 p.m. May 15 at Bear Creek Resort and Conference Center
Why Go: One word: wine. But seriously, in addition to the wine and food tastings, guests will enjoy live music and seminars.
Pricing: $25 in advance, $30 at the door. Advance tickets are available for purchase online or in person at The Inn at Bear Creek.
