Palmer said in the release that she has 28 years of paralegal experience and has worked for Lehigh County Public Defender's office for the past eight years. Palmer noted in the release her experience in civil, criminal, municipal, domestic and landlord/tenant law for 20 years with private practice attorneys.

“I would be honored if the citizens of District 31-3-02 would allow me to continue to serve them as magisterial District Judge,” Palmer said in the release. “It has been an honor and a privilege to serve (Alburtis) residents.  I believe this knowledge and experience would promote a fair and evenhanded approach as magisterial District Judge.”

Palmer served on the Community Impact Justice Panel for first time juvenile offenders.  She also served as head of the Alburtis’ Policy, Personnel and Recycling Committee, as well as the Public Health and Budget Committees.

In that role Palmer assisted with negotiating the police union contracts.

“I know and respect this community and will work hard to continue to earn the trust of those I represent," she said.

Palmer is married and lives with her husband of 25 years, Wayne, and her daughter, Brittany.
