Lazer Luge Opens at Lower Macungie Pool
Catherine Sirignano, 7, won the honor of taking the first slide down the new attraction at the Lower Macungie Pool.
There was more excitement than usual on opening day at the Lower Macungie Pool as its newest addition, the Lazer Luge, opened as well.
Catherine Sirignano, 7, of Lower Macungie, a first grader at Wescosville Elementary won the honor of being the first to slide down the new feature.
A member of the Lower Macungie Lazers Swim Team, Catherine swims the backstroke in competition and has been a pool lover since she was 4 years old, according to her mom, Jennifer, who swam at the Lower Mac Pool as a kid, too.

Catherine filled out a chance to win the slide honor at the Lower Mac Community on May 8.
Also a contender was Mackenzie Kline who filled out a chance and won the honor of being the first to jump into the pool for the 2012 season.
