Lower Mac Prepares for County, PEMA, FEMA Visits
Residents who experienced excessive water damage from Hurricane Irene are encouraged to contact the township.

PEMA and FEMA, the state and federal emergency management agencies, respectively, will assess damaged Lehigh County properties during the morning of Sept. 2
Lower Macungie Township officials said Wednesday that if you have excessive water damage and would like to be added to the list of property owners to be assessed by the township, contact Emergency Management Coordinator Ben Galiardo at 610-966-4343 ext. 115 before 4 p.m. tomorrow, Sept. 1.
The township says though it is following the federal guidelines and filing the proper forms, there is no guarantee that Lehigh County will be declared a disaster area. The township assessments are an attempt to be ready in case funding does become available.Â
