UPDATE: Spring Creek/Mill Creek Road Now Open
The National Weather Service has issued high wind warnings through midnight for gusts up to 60 mph.
UPDATE: PennDOT removed the barriers to Spring Creek and Mill Creek roads Saturday morning, Feb. 26 at 9:10 a.m. PennDOT sent a notification that the road is open at 11:19 a.m. Feb. 26.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has closed Spring Creek and Mill Creek roads in Lower Macungie Township effective at noon today.
The affected area spans the area between Lower Macungie Road and Trexlertown Road, said PennDOT spokesman Ronald J. Young in a release.

The road is closed because of flooding from the heavy rains encountered earlier today and yesterday.
"PennDOT warns motorists not to drive across roads covered with water because the water may be deeper than it looks. Motorists who encounter water covered roads are encouraged to turn around and seek an alternate route," he said.

The National Weather Service says now that the rain has stopped that a high wind warning continues through midnight for Lehigh and Northampton counties. Sustained winds of 20-30 mph are expected with gusts up to 60 mph. These are most likely to occur this afternoon into early evening.
