Morning rush hour brought more than the usual headaches when snow squalls -- some heavy -- snarled roads in parts of the Lehigh Valley Wednesday morning.
If you're heading out to do holiday shopping this afternoon, though, the National Weather Service says there is a chance of scattered snow showers in the Macungie and Lower Macungie Township areas for the rest of the day.
Its maps only show a few flakes for Thursday and Friday nights, and none during the days.

The area saw little of the morning's event, but anyone who had a morning drive east of our Patch found roads to be treacherous.
"It took me a hour and a half to get to work this morning," said Miranda Howard of Bethlehem who works at Ann Taylor Loft in the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley. "People would speed up then slide, then slow to a crawl. It took forever to get anywhere."
