Summer Recipes: Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus
Even when the weather is stifling, you still have to eat, right?

Summer's here as of 7:09 p.m. today and few of us want to hang out in the kitchen when we can be outside doing any number of other, more fun things -- even if it's nothing.
But we still have to eat, eat well and feed the family even when it's too hot to eat. The grill is a great place to start, and seasonal vegetables are always great on the grill.

Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus

- Place asparagus on a sheet of waxed paper; coat with cooking spray. Sprinkle with pepper; turn to coat. Wrap a bacon piece around each spear; secure ends with toothpicks.Â
- Grill, uncovered, over medium heat for 4-6 minutes on each side or until bacon is crisp. Discard toothpicks. Yield: 2-3 servings.
Nutritional information includes 222 calories for one serving of five spears.
