Tonight's Macungie Council Meeting has Been Cancelled

The Macungie Council meeting scheduled for 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Macungie Institute has been cancelled.

Borough Manager Chris Boehm said in an email that since there will be not be a quorum present, there will be no meeting.

A quorum, in this case four of the seven council members, is required to transact the business of the borough.

"The next Council meeting will be Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, because of the Labor Day Holiday on Monday, Sept. 3," she said.

Boehm gave no indication whether public comment would come at the beginning or the end of the Sept. 4 meeting.
