Trees and Power Lines Took a Hit
After the rare October snow storm, thousands of PPL customers throughout Lower Mac Patch are cold and, as night falls, will remain in the dark.
"How many trees did you lose?" might very well be the greeting most heard throughout the Patch over the next few days.
And "How long were you without power?" could be the next question.
As of 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Lehigh was the county with the highest number of customers without power throughout PPL's 29-county service area.

In Lower Mac, more than 5,000 customers are still without power. In the boroughs, almost 500 homes in Alburtis and 826 in Macungie remained powerless.
